"What I've learned is that if you really want to be successful at something, you'll find that you put the time in. You won't just ask somebody if it's a good idea, you'll go figure out if it's a good idea."

-Mark Cuban

OUR MISSION

To connect committed, aspirational high school students to the actual business world through workshops, meetings, and community outreach programs that put them in touch with those who they need to change the world.

The Junior Economic Club is a fully student-run organization that is committed to the idea that high school students can solve social issues if they are given the right guidance and help.

Students aren't well prepared by the current school system for the ever-evolving business community or the economy's growing complexity. The Junior Economic Club is ensuring the prosperity of the Emirates for future generations by putting in early being prepared.

OUR STRUCTURE

The Junior Economic Club has a three-faceted approach to achieving its mission and enriching the futures of its club members.

Economic Forums

Our quarterly events bring together JEC members with leading figures in the UAE’s business world. Each gala event features distinct keynote speakers in fields of entrepreneurship, business, and finance. Each event contains a networking session in which members have the chance to meet and connect with students from all around the city. The JEC works very hard to pave new opportunities to their valued members.

Community Initiatives

Serving and guiding the community are essential to leadership. At JEC we have many programs to help the Community. We have the JEC initiative, High Returns, which empowers children through age-appropriate financial literacy lessons. JEC Emirates will work to adapt this curriculum to meet local needs.

Junior Economist

The Junior Economist is a blog composed of articles written by members of the JEC. The articles strive to pique interest a with fresh ideas and diverse perspectives on issues in economics, finance, and entrepreneurship. The paper also allows the Club to extend its mission of facilitating meaningful discussion about economic issues by analyzing topics that affect the modern day of age.
